The course “Waiting for four horsemen: social inequality and modern political processes” was conducted by Ivan Gomza, PhD in Political Sciences, lecturer and head of the Department of Public Administration at Kyiv School of Economics and permanent lecturer at USPS. He involved the group in two-day discussions on social inequality.
During these two days, participants turned to history and traced how social inequality came out and how epidemics, wars and revolutions became a temporary solution to this problem from ancient Rome to the present.
Humanity has not yet developed an adequate response to challenges of social inequality, which contributes to enrichment and social isolation of ultra-rich, emergence of a tendency to concentrate wealth and growth of competition for belonging to certain property categories. So, who are elites? How to deal with social inequality and how has COVID-19 affected inequality growth?
