You Are Important

Today, on the day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we want to thank everyone who protects our country. For our part, we try to help in what we are competent in, that is why the USPS is starting the selection for an educational project for female veterans and servicewomen. You can apply for participation between December 6, 2023 and January 6, 2024.

At the cost of the superhuman efforts of the Ukrainian military men and women, our nation has survived the aggression of the Russian invaders and continues to strongly resist the enemy. The Ukrainian soldiers make up the foundation on which independent Ukraine rests.

The duty of Ukrainian society is to comprehensively support the soldiers and veterans, especially in the matter of recovery and return to a dignified civilian life. And, of course, to promote their reintegration and involvement in all social processes. Using its many years of experience and accumulated knowledge, the Ukrainian School of Political Studies sees this as contributing to helping our defenders.

We are convinced that the women who joined the defence of Ukraine have remarkable leadership qualities that should be supported and augmented. To this end, the USPS is implementing a pilot educational project, You Are Important, which targets Ukrainian servicewomen and veterans and is designed to help women find their leadership roles during service and upon return to civilian life.

Advocacy for systemic changes in various areas, in particular in veteran policy, is important and timely. Such processes require motivated and responsible leadership. They require knowledge the acquisition of which is the aim of our educational programme.

Strengthening the leadership of servicewomen and their reintegration into public life through education and networking is our priority.
