First Lady of Lithuania visited TSEKH gallery

First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausediene and Minister of culture of Lithuania Simonas Kairys visited TSEKH Art Gallery, founded and directed by Oleksandr Shchelushchenko, a 2010 Ukrainian School of Political Studies alumnus.

Ukrainian gallery TSEKH is 15 years old already. It is one of the most successful non-governmental cultural institutions of Contemporary Art in Ukraine. Meanwhile, in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, the second Tsekh Gallery Vilnius, which is currently one of the largest private galleries in the country, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year.

The First Lady of Lithuania and the Minister of Culture visited an exhibition dedicated to the 15th anniversary of TSEKH gallery, which presents important works by 11 artists from Ukraine, Lithuania, and the United States.

"My dear, I am happy to be here and feel a pulse of Ukraine. This is a region with which Lithuania has close historical and cultural ties. I am sincerely glad to get acquainted with the works of Ukrainian artists. Let your creativity soar on wings of freedom and spread in the most amazing forms"

For the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, culture is a foundation of state policy. USPS and the Agency for Legislative Initiatives are happy to be able to support alumni on their way and help to promote Ukrainian Art in the world. We wish TSEKH gallery new victories!

Special thanks to the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine for arranging the visit!
